About the club

Dolce Doodling is a fun and creative after-school art club designed to help children explore their imagination, learn new techniques, and express themselves through art.

How the sessions work

Each session is thoughtfully planned around a theme, encouraging creativity, experimentation, and hands-on learning. Children will explore a wide range of techniques including drawing, painting, collage, watercolours, clay modelling, and junk modelling and more. We’ll also take inspiration from well-known artists to introduce different styles and ways of thinking about art.

The sessions are playful and relaxed, helping children build confidence while discovering how to use colours, textures, and materials in new and exciting ways.

At the start of each session, children are welcomed with a small snack (a simple digestive biscuit), followed by a short, friendly chat about what the day’s activity will be. Then we dive into the creative fun!

Children will have their own sketchbook to work in throughout the term, which they’ll take home at the end as a special record of their artistic journey. Any additional creations will be taken home when they’re fully dry and ready.

To keep parents updated, we’ll send a couple of emails each term sharing what we’ve been up to and highlighting some of the children’s artwork. I’ll also be posting photos on our Instagram page, so please do give it a follow to see what we’re creating each week!
