More about Claudia
My artistic journey began in Sicily, where I attended a specialist secondary school for the arts. I later earned a degree from ABADIR βthe Faculty of Art and Conservation in San Martino Delle Scale, Italy β where I trained as an Assistant Conservationist. My studies focused on traditional artistic techniques including painting on canvas, wood, and fresco, sculpture, anatomy, and the conservation of historical materials such as ceramics, stone, and antique books. A particularly formative experience was contributing to the restoration of ancient mosaics from 400 B.C. at the archaeological site of Solunto, a project that deepened my appreciation for the value of artistic heritage and hands-on craftsmanship.
Since relocating to London, I have worked in a variety of educational and childcare settings for over seven years, supporting children from early years through to primary school age. I have developed and delivered creative learning experiences, supported classroom routines, and helped create environments that encourage curiosity, confidence, and artistic expression.
Most recently, I have had the pleasure of assisting in a school based art club, where I facilitated engaging, age-appropriate art activities such as drawing, painting, and crafting. This role allowed me to bring together my artistic background and passion for child development, and ultimately inspired me to establish my own art club.
Dolce Doodling was founded to offer a safe, nurturing, and inspiring space where children can explore their creativity freely. As both a qualified professional and a parent of two, I understand the importance of providing children with the opportunity to express themselves, gain confidence, and enjoy the process of making art. I am also fluent in both English and Italian, and welcome children from all backgrounds and abilities.
Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to welcoming your child to Dolce Doodling.
